The Magic Tree Pub and Eatery in Boardman, a major sponsor of the upcoming octoBREWfest, will host a weekly stein hoist competition to raise money for Making Kids Count. The series will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 14 and continue each Wednesday leading up to the main competition at octoBREWfest on Sept. 21.
The entry fee is $1, with the proceeds benefiting Making Kids Count.
The goal is to have one male and one female winner who will proceed to compete against any other willing participants on the day of octoBREWfest. The grand prize for each winner is a three-foot Samuel Adams stein filled with $500 cash. For more details about the stein hoist go to octoBREWfest.com or call Holly Grazier at 330-679-8368.
