News Herald highlights Cellar Rats
The Willoughby News-Herald newspaper has a story and video on Cellar Rats Brewery, located at the Debonne Vineyards winery in Madison. The brewery/winery has seen an influx of new customers since the brewery began in 2008.
“Good winery customers I’ve seen maybe five times a year now are out here drinking beer,” Tony Debevc Sr. told the newspaper. “I ask them about it only to find that they love to come here and have only been drinking wine because that was all we had. They consider themselves, first and foremost, beer drinkers.”
Seeing the success of Cellar Rats, other wineries in the area have started offering beer -- although not beer they've made themselves. Cellar Rats is one of two combined winery/breweries in Ohio right now. The other is Valley Vineyards/Cellar Dweller Brewery in Morrow.
