Stackpole Books informed me today that my book, Ohio Breweries, is slated to be released Sept. 1. It's a travel book that takes a look at all the breweries operating in the state -- from the massive Anheuser-Busch InBev plant in Columbus to the nanobrewery Quarter Barrel Brewery and Pub in Oxford to the small seasonal breweries operating on the Lake Erie Islands. It's also the reason that I launched this website because there is so much interest in Ohio-made beer right now. The book, a labor of love that involved four months of driving around the state last year and many more months of writing, isn't filled with beer reviews or ratings. Instead, it tells the story of each brewery and the people behind it. The book will retail for $19.95 but is available for pre-purchase on Amazon.com for $13.57. I am available for talks and book signings. Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 330-858-8696.
