Ohio Brewing plans St. Patrick's party
Ohio Brewing Co. in Akron will hold a St. Patrick's Day Party at the brewery after the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Akron on Saturday. (Yes, the Akron parade is March 9.) The event, which includes live music and Irish food, is expected to begin at 1 p.m. and go until at least 8 p.m.
The party will include the brewery's new seasonal beer on draft: Double Irish Red. "It's a big malty red ale," co-owner Chris Verich said.
There is no cover charge, but there will be a charge for the food and beer.
Meanwhile, Verich said the brewery will soon release two new seasonal beers: a maple porter made with Ohio maple syrup and a Belgian-style white ale.
