Ara AArc of Stark County will hold its second annual Rhythm & Brews beer festival from 6 to 10 p.m. June 20 at the Canton Cultural Center for the Arts. The event raises money for Arc, which helps individuals with developmental disabilities.
Rhythm & Brews will feature beer from local breweries such as Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Lager Heads and Ohio, as well as imported and other Ohio beers from distributors like Esber Beverage, Anheuser-Busch Sales of Canton and Heidelberg Distributing Co.
The event also offers food from local restaurants, including Jojutlas, Bill and Mary’s, 356th Fighter Group and fish prepared that night from Tim’s Tavern. Restaurants participating for the first time include Corporate Bar and Grill, The Hide-A-Way, Piada Italian Street Food, Papa Gyros and Tilted Kilt.
“Rhythm & Brews is a unique opportunity to promote our business while helping people who need it," Lager Heads co-owner Matt Kiene said in a prepared statement. "Beer lovers in Canton will get to sample some of our microbrews, and will hopefully come up to our restaurant or look for our brands at the store. The fact that we can help individuals with developmental disabilities get programs and services that they need only makes it even more special.”
Rhythm & Brews has a music theme. It is held both indoors and outdoors at the Cultural Center and guests will hear music no matter where they are. Inside, the band Cyphert will perform, while outside My 101.7 on-air personalities will be on hand with a remote.
Tickets are $35, or $20 for non-beer drinkers. They can be purchased by calling the Arc of Stark County at 330-492-5225.
