Rust Belt having beer made in Pittsburgh

By Rick Armon Published: July 4, 2012

rustThe Youngstown Vindicator reports that Rust Belt Brewing Co. has signed a deal to have some of its beer brewed on contract at Pennsylvania Brewing Co. in Pittsburgh. The Youngstown production brewery was having a hard time keeping up with retail demand, the newspaper says.

“Contracting with Pennsylvania is a short- to medium-range way to address problems in meeting this demand," co-owner Ken Blair told the newspaper.“It’s not a solution,” he added. “You address that with equipment and other means.”

The story doesn't mention it, but Rust Belt co-owner Nick Rosich is a brewer at Penn Brewery.
