Samuel Adams releases two new beers
Samuel Adams is releasing two new beers: Alpine Spring and Whitewater IPA. Alpine Spring -- a spring seasonal -- is an unfiltered wheat made with Tettnang-Tettnanger hops. "Fall, winter and summer are distinct seasons and it's easier to recognize beer styles that complement seasonal palates and menus," founder Jim Koch said in a prepared statement. "But spring has always posed a unique challenge -- we're in limbo, waiting for winter to be over and for summer to arrive. Not only is Alpine Spring a new recipe, but it's our first unfiltered lager." To view a tasting video, click here. Meanwhile, Whitewater IPA is a fusion of a white ale and IPA. Both will be available in six-packs. Whitewater IPA also will be included in the Samuel Adams Brewer's Choice Variety 12-pack.
