A Canton native will take a flight Saturday in a specialized Zero G plane and experience weightlessness thanks to Shock Top Belgian White.
Jason Harless, a University of Akron law student, was the second winner in Shock Top’s Final Challenge competition on Facebook. The contest plays off the predictions that the world will end on Dec. 21. Fans submitted bucket list items with a chance to have their wish come true.
Harless and three of his friends will be in Cape Canaveral, Fla., to take the flight. They also hope to enjoy a beer while floating.
“I had recently watched a show on the Discovery Channel where someone was drinking beer in space, and when I saw Shock Top’s Final Challenge contest, I knew I had to submit the idea,” Harless said in a prepared statement. “The next thing I knew, I was calling my friends to tell them we won, and we were booking our flights to Cape Canaveral.”
Starting next week, Shock Top will launch another Facebook contest for fans; this time for a chance to win a trip to an exclusive bunker party on Dec. 21. For more details, click here.
