The festival, which runs from noon to 3 p.m., features only cask ale, or real ale, served directly from the cask without added carbon dioxide.
“The most authentic beer you can enjoy comes from a cask,” Smokehouse owner Lenny Kolada said in a prepared statement. “This is how beer was served before the Industrial Revolution. Whether you’re new to craft beer or a seasoned hop head, the Mini is the best way to enjoy real, local ales. Party like it's 1699."
Participating breweries include: Actual, Barley's, Commonhouse Ales, Four String, Land-Grant, North High, Seventh Son, Weasel Boy, Wolf's Ridge and Smokehouse. In addition to the beer, the event features a whole smoked hog.
Tickets are $25 at the brewpub or $27 if purchased online. Tickets include 12 tastings, a souvenir pint glass and a souvenir program.
