Sugar Ridge Brewery, a nanobrewery in Bowling Green, will open a taproom Dec. 19, owner and brewer Mike Mullins said.
The brewery and tasting room take up about 5,000 square feet in a building along North Dixie Highway that once sold farm equipment.
The tasting room will offer eight beers on draft and sell growlers. Mullins expects to offer Citrus Ridge IPA, Sugar Ridge Christmas Ale, Mullins Irish Red Ale, Johnny Danger Copper Ale, Sylvania Stout Mark David, Joe Beer and others at the opening. (Joe Beer is the macro-offering.) He also plans to sell a nitro version of the stout.
"Most of the beers are already ready," Mullins said.
There will be no food service, just snacks such as peanuts, pretzels and chips, he added.
The taproom will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursdays, and from 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Sugar Ridge, which has a two-barrel brewing system, opened in 2011 in a small industrial park in Perrysburg. It relocated to Bowling Green about a year ago.
