SweetWater Brewing Co. -- the 19th largest craft brewery in the U.S. -- launched a Twitter account (@SweetWaterOH) this week targeting Ohio and announcing its entry into the Buckeye State.
"Our beers will be flowing soon in Cincy, Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Youngstown and Toledo," the Twitter account says. One tweet says the brewery will be in the state by mid or late September.
SweetWater was co-founded in 1997 in Atlanta by Freddy Bensch and Kevin McNerney. Its year-round brands include SweetWater 420, India Pale Ale, Blue, LowRYEder and Georgia Brown. The brewery has won 13 medals at the Great American Beer Festival, including several golds.
I've reached out to the brewery to get a comment.
