Triple Digit expanding, hiring
Triple Digit Brewing Co. in Cincinnati is upgrading its brewing system as it tries to keep up with demand for its high-gravity beers, brewer Kevin Moreland says. The brewery, which also makes the Listermann brands, is installing a 10-barrel brewhouse and fermenters.
"I'm brewing like crazy to keep up with those [Triple Digit] brands," Moreland says.
Triple Digit, which launched earlier this year and focuses on high alcohol beers, recently started distributing in the Dayton market. Moreland notes that he needs to spend more time in the community promoting the beers so Triple Digit is hiring a full-time brewer. Anyone interested should stop by the brewery, Moreland says. He doesn't want phone calls or emails.
In other Triple Digit news, Moreland says the brewery has a couple of special beers in the works, including Aftermath, its Scottish-style ale, aged in rum barrels. That beer should be available for Triple Digit's first anniversary in February.
