West Point hosts Alltech tasting Saturday
West Point Market in Akron will hold a special tasting from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 22) with Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Co., best known as the maker of Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.
The beers sampled will be Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout, Kentucky Ale and Kentucky Light. Brewery representative Ashley Warner also will offer a demonstration on how to make "Kentucky Coffee," which is comprised of Bluegrass Sundown and heavy whipping cream.
All samples will be 25 cents. The grocery also will fill growlers with the draft beer.
