Looking for a great place to taste a lot of Ohio-made Christmas beers side by side? Check out the Winter Wine & Ale Fest in downtown Cleveland on Nov. 26. The following breweries are participating and bringing a holiday beer (in addition to other brews): Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Indigo Imp, Fat Head’s, Ohio, Willoughby, The Brew Kettle, Cellar Rats, Rivertown and Lager Heads.
The Winter Wine & Ale Fest features local cuisine, wine and beer and is held after the official tree lighting on Public Square. It takes place in the lobby of Huntington Bank’s Northeast Ohio headquarters at 200 Public Square. Tickets are $50 per person, and include 20 taste tickets and unlimited food from 7 to 10 p.m. Guests also can bid on silent auction items featuring prizes and merchandise from participating wineries and breweries. Proceeds benefit GeneroCITY, the Downtown Homeless Fund, which supports programs and services provided by Downtown Cleveland Alliance for the city’s homeless population.
“Winter Wine & Ale Fest is a wonderful way to ring in the holiday season with some of our best local wines, ales and cuisine, and it supports a cause that is critically important to the downtown area,” Joe Marinucci, president and CEO of Downtown Cleveland Alliance, said in a prepared statement.
