INDIANS 6, TIGERS 5 (13 INNINGS) -- Jamey Carroll's RBI single in the 13th inning made the difference after Carlos Guillen tied the game at five with a two-run home run off of Indians closer Kerry Wood in the ninth inning. Fausto Carmona allowed two earned runs over five innings in his debut. BOX SCORE
RAYS 8, ROYALS 2 --Tampa Bay first baseman Carlos Pena hit a three-run home run in the first inning and the Rays never looked back. Starting pitcher David Price pitched seven innings, limiting the Royals to one earned run. BOX SCORE
ANGELS 11, TWINS 5 (11 INNINGS) -- Four infield singles and a fielder's choice groundout gave the Angels six runs in the top of the 11th and the win. Angels right fielder Bobby Abreu drove in four in the game. Joe Mauer drove in three for the Twins. BOX SCORE
