Aeros exhibition game against Clippers rained out Monday
The Akron Aeros exhibition game against the Columbus Clippers scheduled for today at 6:05 p.m. at Canal Park has been rained out.
“Due to the wet field conditions, and for the safety of our players and fans, we made the decision to cancel this exhibition game. We look forward to opening the season on Thursday, April 7 at Canal Park against Binghamton,” Aeros Executive Vice President Jim Pfander said.
Fans with tickets to the exhibition game may exchange them for any non-fireworks home game during the 2011 season, subject to availability. Fans must redeem their tickets in person at the Canal Park Box Office.
The two teams are slated to try again Wednesday, when an exhibition game is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Columbus' Huntington Park.
