Aeros lose 9-3 to visiting Altoona
ALTOONA CURVE 9, AKRON AEROS 3 KEY STATS: Aeros catcher Carlos Santana and left fielder Nick Weglarz combined for five of the Aeros seven hits...Aeros center fielder Jose Constanza walked three times to notch his sixth multi-walk effort in his last 13 games. KEY MOMENTS: Santana hit his second home run in as many games Saturday, his three-run blast giving the host an early 3-0 lead...Altoona responded with a pair of runs in the third and fifth innings against Akron starter Josh Tomlin to take a 4-3 lead...The Curve blew open the game with a five-run eighth inning against Aeros relievers Carlton Smith and Matt Meyer. STORM'S STARS: Santana went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and posted his first multi-hit game since July 4th...Altoona third baseman Pedro Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a walk and a two-run home run in the fifth inning.
