A day after claiming his first save of the season for the Aeros, RHP Shane Lindsay was promoted to Triple-A Columbus. Taking Lindsay's spot on the Akron active roster is LHP Nick Hagadone, who was activated from the disabled list.
Lindsay, who was claimed off waivers by the Cleveland Indians from the New York Yankees June 1, was dominant in his first career stint in the Eastern League.
In 11 2/3 innings, the 25-year-old Melbourne, Australia, native went owned a 0.77 ERA with 18 strikeouts and 12 walks, allowing just two hits and three runs (one earned) for a .051 batting average against.
Hagadone, the Tribe's third-best prospect according to Baseball America, returns to the Aeros being on the disabled list July 5 with left shoulder discomfort.
The 6-foot-5 Hagadone joined the Aeros from high Class-A Kinston June 1. With Akron he is 1-0 with a 5.48 ERA in 23 innings. The 24-year old underwent Tommy John reconstructive elbow surgery back in 2008.
He and was acquired by the Indians as part of a package of players from the Boston Red Sox for C Victor Martinez last July.
