Aeros win in extra innings to eliminate Erie from playoffs

KEY STATS: With Reading's double-header sweep of Connecticut and Akron's walk-off win over Erie, the SeaWolves were eliminated from the playoffs.
KEY MOMENTS: Erie rode a pair of early home runs by Michael Bertram and Brennan Boesch against Eastern League Pitcher of the Year Jeanmar Gomez to take a 3-0 lead...The Aeros scratched across a run with two outs in the eighth inning to break up the shutout, then staged another rally in the ninth that tied the game and sent it into extra innings...A pair of wild pitches by Aeros reliever Neil Wagner appeared to gift wrap an Erie win, but RF John Drennen hit a two-out 10th-inning winning run.
STORM'S STARS: Aeros LF Jerad Head made a leaping catch at the wall to haul in a hard-hit ball off the bat of Boesch that saved at least one run...Aeros 2B Josh Rodriguez tied the game in the ninth with a two-run double...Drennan's homer put an exclamation point on the walk-off win.
