Brantley on way to Cleveland?

By sstorm Published: July 3, 2010

An hour or so after Indians manager Manny Acta told the media that RF Shin-Soo Choo's right thumb injury didn't appear to be "long term" issue, an MRI might have shown differnet.

Triple-A CF Michael Brantley was scratched from the Columbus lineup in Toledo before taking an at-bat. After the Indians 5-4 10-inning win over Oakland, rumors on Twitter had the Indians placing Choo on the DL.

Appearantly, the Indians are it playing it safe, and making the overdue move for Brantley, who was batting .315 in 59 games with the Clippers, including nine doubles, two triples, three homers, 11 stolen bases, 26 RBI and 47 runs scored.

Brantley, who was recently named to the Triple-A All-Star Game, started the season in Cleveland but batted just .156 in nine games before being shipped to Columbus.
