Carroll activated, Barfield sent down
The Indians announced that infielder Jamey Carroll has been activated from the 15-day disabled list. In order to make room for Carroll, Josh Barfield was sent down to Columbus.
Carroll fractured his left hand when he was struck by a pitch during his final at-bat of spring training.
Barfield is 3-3 with three runs scored and an RBI during his brief stint(s) with the Indians this season.
