Choo leaves game after being hit in hand
SAN FRANCISCO: Shin-Soo Choo was hit in the left hand by a Jonathan Sanchez pitch in the fourth inning and was forced to leave the game with the Indians leading the Giants 2-0.
The pitch struck the top of Choo's hand and ricocheted past his helmet, possibly grazing his face. Assistant trainer Rick Jameyson attended to Choo on the field, cutting off his batting glove.
Shelley Duncan ran for Choo and stayed in the game to play left field. Austin Kearns moved from left to right.
