Choo might take BP in a week; rainout vs. White Sox rescheduled
CLEVELAND: Shin-Soo Choo continued on the road to recovery from a broken thumb by taking bat to tee this afternoon.`
“”He took about 40 swings off a tee today and felt good,’’ manager Manny Acta said. “”We think he might be able to start taking batting practice in a week to 10 days.’’
Choo appears to be ahead of schedule on his predicted return of late August or early September.
The July 23 postponed game against the White Sox will be replayed as part of a day-night, separate-admission doubleheader Sept. 20.
The makeup game will begin at 1:05 p.m with the originally scheduled game starting at 7:05. Tickets dated July 23 are valid for the afternoon makeup contest or can be exchanged for another game
