Crowe activated; Head designated for assignment
CLEVELAND: After missing almost the entire season following shoulder surgery March 30, Trevor Crowe was placed on the 40-man roster and activated for today's game against the Tigers.
Crowe, who will play left field and bat ninth, began a rehab assignmnt at the Tribe's complex in Arizona then progressed to Columbus. To make room for him on the 40-man roster, the Tribe designated for assignment Jerad Head, who made his major-league debut this month and was 2-for-23 with one double in eight games.
