BALTIMORE: Trevor Crowe was called up from Columbus late Friday night and installed in tonight's lineup against the Orioles at Camden Yards.
The reason for the roster move: Andy Marte has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a non-baseball related injury. So far, that's all Tribe officials are saying about it, citing the HIPPA privacy law. Marte is not expected to be out for long. Manager Manny Acta said he probably will regain full health in seven to 10 days.
Crowe took the place of slumping Grady Sizemore as the Indians' center fielder in the second of the three-game set against Baltimore. He is not taking Sizemore's No. 2 spot in the lineup. Instead, he will bat ninth. Mark Grudzielanek will hit behind leadoff batter Asdrubal Cabr forera.
