Crowe to lag behind his teammates for awhile
GOODYEAR, Ariz.: Trevor Crowe's repaired right elbow will slow him down for awhile in training camp.
""Crowe is a little behind,'' manager Manny Acta said today. ""He just had that surgery, so we have to be a little careful of him. I don't think he'll be ready for the intrasquad games (Thursday and Friday).''
Crowe underwent arthroscopic surgery Oct. 15 to remove loose bodies from his elbow. A lengthy delay in Crowe's readiness would not help him in his battle with Austin Kearns and Shelley Duncan to win a resesrve outfield spot, particularly since Kearns is a lock to make the team.
