Decision on Branyan will come this week
GOODYEAR, Ariz: Russell Branyan said this morning that a decision on his availability for the season opener will be made in three or four days.
Branyan has yet to play in a game because of a herniated disc that cost him the last month of the 2009 season. He passed a physical before signing with the Indians late in February, but back pain has kept him off the field.
He took batting practice in the indoor cages this morning and has been playing catch.
