Triple-A Columbus (48-33) - Visiting Columbus topped Indianapolis 4-3...RHP Yohan Pino started the game and allowed three runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings, but it was RHP Jensen Lewis (1-0, 1.29 ERA) who picked up the win with 1 /23 innings of hitless relief...RF Jordan Brown led the way on offense, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Double-A Akron (41-40) - Visiting Akron clobbered Bowie 9-4 to win their fourth consecutive game...The Aeros offense pounded out 14 hits - including 12 and two home runs - against Baysox starter LHP Nathan Nery (0-3, 7.47 ERA)...LHP Eric Berger started for the Aeros, limiting Bowie to two runs on three hits over four innings...But it was RHP Shane Lindsay (1-0, 1.42 ERA) who picked up the win in relief with two hitless innings...3B Lonnie Chisenhall, DH Matt McBride, 1B Beau Mills and RF Jerad Head all homered, while Chisenhall, McBride and C Damaso Espino each drove in a pair of runs...LF John Drennen went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI to extended his hitting streak to 11 games.
High Class-A Kinston (3-5 in second half) - Visiting Kinston lost 4-2 at Myrtle Beach...RHP Joe Gardner (6-3, 2.42 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits over six inning to take the loss...3B Kyle Bellows went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Low Class-A Lake County (4-4 in second half) - Host Lake County was shutout 1-0 in a pitcher's dual with West Michigan...RHP Brett Brach (1-4, 3.31 ERA) took the loss despite giving up just one run - a homer - on three hits over five frames...DH Kyle Smith and 3B Adam Abraham were the only Captains batters to garner a hit.
Short-season Mahoning Valley (7-7) - The host Scrappers defeated Jamestown 2-1... RHP Jordan Cooper (1-1, 5.02 ERA) earned the win after limiting the Jammers to a run on four hits over six strong innings...DH Jonathan Burnette homered to drive in the team's only RBI of the night.
