Double-A Akron (47-45) - Host Akron crushed Erie 8-1...RHP Paolo Espino (9-3, 3.76 ERA) cruised to his ninth win of the season (tied for second-most in the league) by tossing six shutout innings. He allowed just three hits, did not walk a batter and struck out five...CF Tim Fedroff went 2-for-4 with a double, triple and two RBI.
High Class-A Kinston (8-12 in second half) - Visiting Kinston lost 8-7 to Potomac...LHP T.J. McFarland was rocked for six runs - including two home runs - on eight hits over 5 1/3 innings...3B Kyle Bellows went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
