Hits keep on coming
GOODYEAR, Ariz.: Michael Brantley and Ezequiel Carrera each got two hits in the second and last Indians intrasquad game of the spring.
Brantley doubled and tripled and scored twice; Carrera had two singles (including a bunt hit) and stole second.
The Tribe batted .321 and hammered 10 extra-base hits in the two games but did not hit a home run.
Pitchers continued to be shaky today, particularly Bryce Stowell, who walked four and gave up and did not retire a batter.
""He needs to work on his command,'' manager Manny Acta said. ""He knows that.''
