Hodges back in fold at Columbus

The Indians claimed 1B Wes Hodges off outright waivers from the Colorado Rockies and optioned him back to Triple-A Columbus.

Hodges was designated for assignment by the Indians on July 27th to make room on the 40-man roster for RHP Josh Tomlin. Hodges was claimed by the Rockies on August 3.

Before all the recent movement, Hodges had spent the entire season at Columbus, batting .270 with 51 runs scored, 23 doubles, three triples, nine home runs and 47 RBI in 94 games.
