Cleveland Indians
Home run drought continues
The Indians haven’t hit a home run for 10 games. The last Tribe homer was hit by Carlos Santana in the fifth inning against the Mariners April 17 at Safeco Field.
“”We hit home runs in nine straight games (to start the season),’’ manger Manny Acta said. “”This is just the way the game evens out. We’re going to hit another home run. When you have such a long season, everything goes in cycles.’’
The last time the Tribe went without a homer for 10 or more consecutive games was April 10-27, 1983, when the streak lasted 14 games.
