Triple-A Columbus (3-0) – The Clippers won their third consecutive game to open the season, topping host Indianapolis 8-7...CF EZEQUIEL CARRERA led the 11-hit parade with a 3-for-4 effort...2B JASON KIPNIS collected three RBI...RF JERAD HEAD went 2-for-5 with a home run...RHP ALEX WHITE, the Indians 2009 first-round pick (15th overall) limited Indianapolis to two runs on just three hits while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision.
Double-A Akron (1-2) – The Aeros lost 6-2 to visiting Binghamton...CF GRADY SIZEMORE made his second rehab start for Akron, going 2-for-4 with a double and RBI. Sizemore is now 3-for-7 on his Major League Rehab Assignment...RF JORDAN HENRY also collected two hits with an RBI...LHP SCOTT BARNES gave up two runs on three hits in four innings to start the game, but RHP CHEN LEE was tagged with the loss after allowing four runs (two earned) in 1 2/3 innings in relief.
High Class-A Kinston (1-1) -The host K-Tribe fell to Winston-Salem 3-2...1B CHASE BURNETTE was the only Kinston player to garner multiple hits, going 2-for-4 with an RBI...LHP T.J. MCFARLAND was tagged with the loss despite allowing just three runs (two earned) and striking out seven in the six-inning outing.
