Here’s how the Indians four minor league clubs fared Thursday:

Triple-A Columbus Clippers (6-2) – The visiting Clippers swept a double header from host Toledo by scores of 1-0 and 7-3...In the first game, RHP JEANMAR GOMEZ (2-0, 1.42 ERA) pitched a complete-game shutout over seven innings, scattering eight hits while striking out seven...Indians OF GRADY SIZEMORE made his first appearance with Columbus, his solo home run in the third inning being the game's only run...In Game Two, RHP CARLTON SMITH picked up the win in relief, allowing just one hit over two innings...RHP and starter JOE MARTINEZ (0-0, 4.26 ERA), allowed three runs on six hits, while striking out three in just three innings...RHP ZACH PUTNAM (0-0, 1.69 ERA) picked up his second save by holding the Mud Hens to one hit over the final last two innings...OF CHAD HUFFMAN went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and RBI...DH JORDAN BROWN walked in each of his four plate appearances and scored two runs.

Double-A Aeros (5-3) – The visiting Aeros rallied late to defeat host Reading 5-0 in the first game of a four-game set at FirstEnergy Stadium...LHP SCOTT BARNES (1-0, 1.64 ERA) pitched seven shutout innings and struck out 10 batters in the win, allowing just two hits while not issuing a walk. He leads the Eastern League with 17 strikeouts...Pitching for Reading was former Tribe farmhand LHP RYAN EDELL, who also only allowed two hits while striking out nine in seven scoreless innings...The Aeros broke through ont he scoreboard with five runs in the eighth inning against reading RHP TYSON BRUMMETT (0-1, 2.25 ERA), who suffered the loss despite pitching just 2/3 of a inning...OF JORDAN HENRY drove in the Aeros first run with a RBI double...SS JUAN DIAZ went 2-for-5 with a two-run double...DH JOHN DRENNEN and OF TIM FEDROFF each added a RBI-single in the inning...LHP ERIC BERGER closed out the win for the Aeros with two scoreless innings and a pair of strikeouts.

High Class-A Kinston (1-5) – The K-Tribe enjoyed a scheduled day off...1B/3B ADAM ABRAHAM has homered in three consecutive games and is batting .353 (6-for-17) with a double, six RBI and five walks this season. He owns the second-highest slugging percentage in the Carolina League at .941 and is tied for the league lead in home runs…OF BO GREENWELL is batting .368 with two stolen bases…LHP DREW POMERANZ, the Tribe's first-round pick (fifth overall) in last year's draft, has not earned a decision in two starts, but has been impressive. He has allowed just one unearned run and struck out a league-leading 17 batters in 11 innings, while allowing three hits and two walks…OF TYLER HOLT's four stolen bases lead the team.

Low Class-A Lake County (5-3) – The host Captains used another strong pitching performance to defeat Dayton 3-1...Captains pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts, punching out every batter who made a plate appearance at least once...In the meantime, Lake County's offense quickly got to work via a five-run first inning, with three of the runs coming on OF JASON SMIT's first home run of the season. Smit later added a double as part of a 2-for-3 effort...INF NICK BARTALONE scored twice for Lake County, going 2-for-4 with a walk.
