Here's how the  Indians minor league teams fared Monday:

Triple-A Columbus (57-28) - The Clippers lost 5-4 in 13 innings to host Louisville at Louisville Slugger Field...Bats C DEVIN MESORACO tripled in the bottom of the 13th and later scored on an infield grounder as Louisville escaped with the win...RHP JOE MARTINEZ (6-3, 4.09 ERA) allowed the game-winning run and suffered the loss...Columbus had an early 2-0 lead until the Bats put up four runs in the bottom of the third...OF JERAD HEAD hit a two-run home run to tie the game 4-4  in the fifth inning - wherer the score remained tied until extra innings...INF CHAD HUFFMAN went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.. Starter and LHP DAVID HUFF (8-2, 3.84 ERA) gave up four runs on five hits over seven innings in the no-decision.

Double-A Akron (47-43) - Aeros starter and LHP T.J. MCFARLAND (5-4, 4.09 ERA) lead the Aeros to a 7-1 victory over host Altoona at Blair County Ballpark. McFarland allowed an  unearned run on five hits, while striking out five in seven innings for his fifth win of the season...The Aeros gave McFarland an early cuhsion in building a 7-0 lead after six innings...OF BEN COPELAND went 2-for 3 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored...C MICHEL HERNANDEZ and 1B BEAU MILLS each added two hits for Akron.

High Class-A Kinston (38-31) - The K-Tribe notched a 3-2 win over Frederick...Starter and RHP MARTY POPHAM (2-0, 2.91 ERA) tossed six innings, allowing just one run on four hits... A solo home run from INF CASEY FRAWLEY gave Kinston a much-needed cushion heading into the ninth with a 3-1 lead...RHP PRESTON GUILMET (0-1, 2.14 ERA) struggled to hold Frederick’s offense, allowing a run on three hits  - all with two outs in the ninth. But Guilmet escaped with his 20th save of the season, leaving two men on and the tying run on second base...OF ABNER ABREU went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple and recorded his 17th steal in 20 attempts this season.

Low Class-A Lake County  (28-41) - The Captains  jumped on Lansing starter and RHP DANNY BARNES (4-1, 3.10 RHP) early and never looked back, evening the three-game series at a game apiece with a 7-4 victory...C ALEX MONSALVE went 1-3 with two walks, two runs scored and two RBI, giving the Captains a 5-3 lead in the fifth with a solo home run...DH AARON FIELDS went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI...Lake County starter LHP KIRK WETMORE (1-0, 1.80 ERA), who was just called up from Mahoning Valley, earned his first win for the Captains by limiting the Lugnuts to three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks over five innings... RHP JORDAN COOPER (2-3, 5.32 ERA) picked up his second save after starting in his last five outing, giving up just a run on three hits in four innings.

Rookie-level Mahoning Valley (11-7) - The Scrappers held the lead for a majority of the game until the eighth inning, when the bullpen was unable to contain Batavia’s offense in a 3-2 loss... LHP DANNY JIMENEZ (0-0, 0.61 ERA) tossing four shut-out innings while sriking out six... However, Mahoning Valley’s defense could not help out the struggling bullpen late in the game as LHP JONATHAN CORNELIUS (1-0, 3.46 ERA) matched Jimenez on the mound by tossing four innings of one-hit baseball...RHP ENOSIL TEJEDA (2-1, 0.00 ERA) picked up his first blown save and loss in allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits in just 2/3 of an inning...INF TODD HANKINS went 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
