Indians pick Nagy to be Columbus pitching coach

Charlie Nagy has been hired by the Indians to be the pitching coach for Class AAA Columbus.

Former Columbus pitching coach Scott Radinsky was recently named the Indians' bullpen coach.

Pitching for the Indians from 1990 through 2002, Nagy won 129 games for the Tribe. He made three All-Star appearances as an Indian, in 1992, 1996 and 1999. He finished fourth in the Cy Young Award voting in 1996.

Previously, Nagy served as a special assistant to general manager Mark Shapiro.

Nagy was selected to the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame in 2007.

The Indians also announced that Lee May Jr. would be the hitting coach for Columbus. He was promoted from Class AA Akron.
