Indians to host town hall meeting Jan. 27 before hitting the malls
The Indians will host a Town Hall Meeting featuring manager Manny Acta and general manager Chris Antonetti Jan. 27 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. to kick off the “Tribe on Tour” weekend.
The town hall meeting will be held in downtown Cleveland at Idea Center (PBS/WVIZ-1375 Euclid Ave.) and will be moderated by SportsTime Ohio announcer Matt Underwood.
The Town Hall format will provide Indians fans and invited guests with the opportunity to get a preview of the upcoming 2011 season and engage in open dialogue with the ball club’s top brass. The program will be taped and broadcast on SportsTime Ohio beginning Feb.4 at 7 p.m.
In addition, there's other opportunities to check out the Tribe as the team's new "TRIBE ON TOUR” hits Northeast Ohio malls beginning next week. Free family-friendly activities include meet-and-greets with Acta, players, alumni and broadcasters, a Home Run Derby and the opportunity to create your own play-by-play DVD. Slider, the Hot Dog Mascots and the Rockin’ Robots will be on hand to add to the entertainment and festivities.
The Indians will be visiting Beachwood Place Mall in Beachwood, Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted, Summitt Mall in Akron and Southpark Mall in Strongsville.
