Indians, Twins rained out
MINNEAPOLIS: The Indians and Twins were rained out tonight, and the game has yet to be rescheduled.
Fausto Carmona, who was scheduled to start, will pitch this afternoon, instead. He will face Brian Duensing, tonight's scheduled pitcher. Carlos Carrasco's start has been move back one to day Sunday. He will face former Tribe starter Carl Pavano.
Radar showes that rain coming up from the south probably would pass through the Twin Cities about 8:15 p.m. The game was called at 6:40, so it's possible the Twins, who have been sturggling since the outset of the season, wanted the night off. The home team controls whether a game will go on until the first pitch, then it is in the hands of the umpires.
