Injury update: Sizemore almost ready for baseball activities
SEATLE: Grady Sizemore recently was in Miami for a recheck from Dr. Barth Green, who cleared him to begin baseball activities next week .
Sizemore is on the 60-day disabled list after undergoing back surgery in spring training. Currently, he is doing light jogging.
Right-hander Carlos Carrasco, who underwent Tommy John surgery last year, has advanced to playing catch from 120 feet. He also is on the 60-day DL and is not expected to be ready for big-league competition until September, at the earliest.
Left-hander David Huff, on the DL with a hamstring strain, is scheduled to start for Akron on Friday in Reading, Pa..
