Cleveland Indians
Kipnis activated; Carrasco done for season
CLEVELAND: The Indians activated Jason Kipnis (strained hamstring) from the disabled list this afternoon and called up middle infielder Luis Valbuena from Columbus.
Kipnis probably will get most of the at-bats at second base, sending Cord Phelps to the bench.
Carlos Carrasco,out with an elbow injury, has been placed on the 60-day DL.
