Triple-A Columbus (72-55) - The host Clippers were defeated 7-5 by Scranton...RHP Yohan Pino (9-8, 5.60 ERA) dished up six runs on 13 hits and lasted just 4 2/3 innings to take the loss...2B Josh Phelps went 2-for-5 with an RBI.
Double-A Akron (63-60) - Host Akron lost 5-1 to Harrisburg, as both teams entered the night tied for third place in the Eastern League Western Division in the midst of a wild card race...RHP Alex White (7-7, 2.44 ERA) took the loss, allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits and three walks...LF Tim Fedroff went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in the fifth inning that proved the Aeros lone run and broke up a potential no-hit bid.
High Class-A Kinston (25-28 in second half) - Visiting Kinston used a five-run seventh inning to top Myrtle Beach 6-4...RHP Joe Mahalic (5-8, 4.12 ERA) picked up the win in limiting the Pelicans to three runs (two earned) on six hits while striking out five in six innings...Closer Cory Burns notched his 25th save with a scoreless ninth inning...RF Abner Abreu went 1-for-4 with a double, run scored and two RBI to lead the way on offense.
Low Class-A Lake County (26-27 in second half) - Host Lake County topped Bowling Green 5-3...In his first outing with the Captains, RHP Jason Knapp did not allow a hit over four innings while striking out seven...3B Adam Abraham went 1-for-5 with a double and three RBI to lead the way offensively.
Short-season Mahoning Valley (25-34) - Host Mahoning Valley lost 6-4 to Batavia ...RHP and recent All-Star Alex Kaminsky (5-4, 2.79 ERA) took the loss after allowing six runs on seven hits in just 2 2/3 innings...2B Aaron Fields drove in two runs, going 1-for-3 with a triple and run scored.
