NOTES:
* In addition to the expected return of veteran first baseman Russell Branyan next week, Tribe closer Kerry Wood is also close to coming of the disabled list.
Branyan's last hurdle to prove he's recovered from a lower back injury is to play in back-to-back games at first base at Double-A Akron. Wood (right back muscle strain) is scheduled to throw his third bullpen session of the week today. Manager Manny Acta said Friday Wood's next step is to throw a simulated game early next week.
* Tribe starter Jake Westbrok looks to follow the success of LHP David Huff and RHP Mitch Talbot, each pitching complete-game victories in the Indians last two games.
