Monday's around the Indians minor leagues

A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Monday:

Triple-A Columbus (28-17) - Visiting Columbus topped Charlotte 9-2...CF Michael Brantley scored three runs, C Carlos Santana had three walks and 2B Brian Bixler went 3-for-5 with two runs scored...RHP Frank Herrmann (2-0) continued to decrease his ERA to a measly 0.37 by continuing his scoreless innings streak with 2 2/3 innings of one-hit relief.

Double-A Akron (18-26) - Host Akron was drubbed 11-1 by Altoona, eight of those runs coming over the first three innings by Curve LF Alex Presley, who went 4-for-5 with a double and two home runs...All of Presley's runs came off Aeros LHP Scott Barnes, who lasted just 3 1/3 and allowed the most runs by an Aeros starter this season...Three Aeros batters had two hits a piece in DH Matt McBride, SS Carlos Rivero and LF John Drennen.

High Class-A Kinston (23-21) - Visiting Kinston was tied 6-6 with Potomic in 14 innings when this report was completed at 11:47 p.m. Check back tomorrow morning for an update on who won the epic battle and how.

Low Class-A Lake County (30-15) - Host Lake County was doubled up by South Bend 6-3 for the second consecutive game as LHP Vidal Nuno was shelled for six runs on nine hits just 2 2/3 innings in his Captains debut...C Chun-Hsiu Chen went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI...2B Argenis Martinez went 2-for-4 with a run scored and RBI...3B Adam Abraham went 3-for-4 with a triple.
