Monday's around the minors

A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Monday:

Triple-A Columbus (66-43) - Columbus enjoyed a scheduled day off.

Double-A Akron (56-50) - Akron enjoyed a scheduled day off.

High Class-A Kinston (16-18 in second half) - The game between host Kinston and Myrtle Beach was suspended due to rain in the third inning with the Pelicans leading 3-1. The game will be made up Tuesday as part of a double header.

Low Class-A Lake County (16-20 in second half) - Visiting Lake County lost 8-7 in 10 innings to South Bend...RHP Clayton Cook limited the Silver Hawks to three runs on nine hits while striking out six over six innings, but did not figure into the decision...CF Delvi Cid went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI to lead the way for the Captains offense.

Short-season Mahoning Valley (16-27) - Visiting Mahoning Valley lost 6-3 to Batavia in 10 innings...RHP Owen Dew held the host to just one run on three hits over six innings, but did not figure into the decision...3B Giovanny Urshela went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to lead the Scrappers offense.
