Monday's look around the Indians minor leagues
A look at how the Indians Minor League affiliates fared Monday:
Triple-A Columbus (8-4) - RHP Carlos Carrasco (1-1, 3.12 ERA) gave up just two earned runs and struck out seven in five innings, but still took the loss in an 8-2 defeat by host Louisville. C Carlos Santana had a rare 0-for-4 night night while RF Trevor Crowe went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Double-A Aeros (6-6) - The Aeros lost 10-3 to visiting Altoona, with Akron pitching handing out 10 walks in the game, including bases-loaded RBI walks in the fifth and sixth innings. LHP Scott Barnes (0-2, 6.57 ERA) allowed seven runs (six earned) on seven hits in four innings. CF Tim Fedroff, DH Nick Weglarz and 2B Cord Phelps each had two hits a piece.
High Class-A Kinston (3-8)- Although the K-Tribe dropped their fourth consecutive game, LHP Kelvin De La Cruz tossed six hitless innings but had to give way to the bullpen on a pitch count. He finished with a walk and four strikeouts in a 4-1 loss to host Wilmington.
Low Class-A Lake County (11-1) - The Captains doubled up visiting Fort Wayne 12-6, led by LF Bo Greenwell's five RBI. Greenwell, an Indians' sixth-round pick in the 2007 Draft, went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, a triple and a home run. He leads all low-A batters in hits (22), RBI (20), slugging percentage (.468) and is second in on-base percentage (.537) and fifth in slugging percentage (.787).
