By Sheldon Published: June 3, 2011

The Indians haven't forgotten Nick Johnson.

The first baseman who has been on the disabled list eight times made his 2011 debut tonight in Akron.

When Johnson came to spring training, he was frresh from surgery on his right wrist, which endured more than one operation. He played only 24 games in 2010, batting .167 for the Yankees. But his career average is .270. [ep

What will the Tribe do with him? [ep

""When we see him play, we'll make a decision,'' manager Manny Acta said. ""If we signed him, we obviously have interest in him.'' [ep

It is thought that Johnson was signed in case Matt LaPorta stumbled. That hasn't happened. [ep

Jack Hannahan was a late scratch because of left hamstring tightness. Adam Everett took his place at third. [ep
