Nine players ink one-year deals
The indians are always good about coming to terms with their unsigned players, and got a head start Sunday when they inked nine to one-year deals. That leaves 14 remaining players to get signed by next month's deadline.
The Indians agreed to one-year Major League contracts with the following players on the club’s 40-man roster: infielder Josh Barfield, outfielder Shin-Soo Choo, pitchers Aaron Laffey, Jon Meloan, Adam Miller, Anthony Reyes, Tony Sipp and Jeremy Sowers and catcher Wyatt Toregas.
There are still 14 unsigned members on the club’s 40-man roster. The Major League deadline to renew or sign all 40-man roster players with zero to three years of MLB experience is March 11.
