One more day for Brantley?
CLEVELAND: Michael Brantley will miss his third straight start with a tight hamstring tonight against the Royals.
""Michael took extra hitting today and had no problems,'' manager Manny Acta said this afternoon. ""He'll be available off the bench tonight and probably play tomorrow.''
In addition to the sore hamstring, Brantley hasn't been feeling well.
""He had a little bit of the flu coming back from Minnesota,'' Acta said.
Chris Perez's wife Melanie gave birth to a boy, Maxwell Alexander, Friday night in Tampa. It is the couple's first child.
""He probably won't be back here until Monday,'' Acta said. Family comes first.''
Acta didn't know for certain who would fill Perez's job as closer, if the Tribe needs one tonight.
""We'll mix and match,'' the manager said.
