Perez rips Browns' dominance; Tomlin, Hannahan getting close

CLEVELAND: Chris Perez had more to say about the Indians' lack of early-season fan support Tuesday.
“”It’s kind of a shame that I had to talk about this to get national attention for the team, he said. ""I could care less who is taking snaps at Browns quarterback. I would if I followed football or if my team made the playoffs.’’
The Browns command the headlines in Northeast Ohio whether or not it’s football season.
Does Perez want to be in Cleveland?
“”I like it here, that’s the whole point,’’ he said. “”Plus, I can be unhappy in the work place and still want to go out and do my job.’’
Josh Tomlin (sore wrist) threw a 30-pitch bullpen Tuesday.
“”He threw very well,’’ manager Manny Acta said. “”He’ll probably throw a simulated game in a couple of days. After that, we’ll make a decision.’’
It’s unlikely that Tomlin will have to go on a rehab assignment before he returns to the rotation.
Jack Hannahan (back soreness) went through all the activities on the field Tuesday and might be ready to play as early as tonight.
