Pestano sets unusual Tribe record
BOSTON: VInnie Pestano became a record-breaking pitcher for the Indiians Thursday night.
With BaseballReference.com's help, research shows that Pestano is the first Tribe pitcher since 1918 to strike out at least one batter in his first 16 appearances of the season.
Former Tribe closer Doug Jones had 15 outings in a row at the start of a season with at least one strikeout.
